Where You Need to Go During Tacoma Restaurant Week

If you’re thinking of heading to Tacoma Restaurant Week this October, you may not know where to start. But we’re here to help!

Here are some great restaurants to check out during Tacoma Restaurant Week. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed by any of these eateries.

Indochine

If you’re after a menu boasting delectable pan-Asian fusion dishes, then Indochine is the place to be.

It never disappoints – you’re always guaranteed a good meal here!

The atmosphere exudes elegance, and the staff provide excellent customer service. Some favorite picks from their menu include:

  • A starter of pulled-pork empanadas
  • A main of garlic prawns
  • A slice of coconut cake for dessert

Indochine is ideal if for enjoying a romantic meal with your better half!

Boathouse 19

Boathouse 19 is the perfect place to eat after spending time at Titlow Beach Park.

The fresh Strawberry Salad starter is always a favorite, as is the Blackened Rockfish; they’re both utterly divine!

Round off your meal with a decadent Bailey’s Chocolate Mousse. It’s the perfect dessert for chocoholics, and sweettooths alike!

The best way to describe this restaurant’s vibe is casual, yet comfortable and affordable, yet high-quality. So, it really ticks all the boxes!

Plus, you can enjoy the views of Narrows Bridge and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains as you savor a delicious meal – what could be better?

Wildfin

If you love seafood, Wildfin is a great spot to visit. Not only do they offer amazing food, but they are located in the heart of Point Ruston, one of best up and coming spots in the Tacoma area. Wildfin’s calamari starter is delicious, and their Parmesan Sole is legendary!

Here you can enjoy a plethora of fresh fish, shellfish, and Northwestern meats. When coupled with a glass of some of the best wine and/or beer this region has to offer, you’re bound to be in for a culinary treat!

Or, if a classic cocktail is more your style, peruse through their delicious menu and sample some of their sweet tasting drinks.

Come inside and marvel at the breathtaking views of Point Defiance, Vashon Island, Commencement Bay, and Mt. Rainier while enjoying a sit-down meal.

Alternatively, you can take away a tasty Fish Taco or a portion of traditional fish and chips from the Fish Bar.

El Gaucho

Perhaps steak is more your thing? If so, El Gaucho is a high-quality steak restaurant with tons of mouthwatering options for you to chose from.

It features 28-Day Dry-Aged Niman Ranch and Custom-Aged Angus Beef on the menu – you may have never had a steak this tasty before!

This is one of the best places for steak-lovers to congregate in the South Sound. Don’t forget to order some incredible Lobster Medallions with your steak, if you want to take your dinner up a notch.

Here is a list that includes some of the best places to get Tacoma Styled goods around the holidays! Keep reading until the end! These are listed in no particular order ;o)

1) Channing Baby & Co.

Check out Channing Baby & Co. on Pacific Avenue. It’s a spot for kids clothing, toys and and accessories. They work hard feature small local manufacturers, and PNW related goods such as this PNW Baby Tee.

Some of their locally themed items include this wooden Washington State Baby Rattle, and this Plush Seattle Themed Globe Totters Soft. The block feature a number of Seattle landmarks like Starbucks, Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. Check out this locally made wooden sign.

2) Bleach Tacoma

Bleach is an Independent Action Sports Clothing Store across from Anthem Coffee in Downtown Tacoma. Bleach  does an amazing of job of presenting Tacoma in stylish and dare I say hip way. They feature their own brand along with notable offerings from Billabong, Imperial Motion, Levis, Vans and Stance to name a few.

Bleach offers mens and women’s apparel. You may recognize this Tacoma Themed Design, which is prime to raise the eyebrows of movie buffs out there.

3) Tacoma Thunderdome

Tacoma Thunderdome features some talented counter-culture artists and their wares. It shares front door with Real Art Tacoma in the South Tacoma Business District, on 5412 S Tacoma Way in Tacoma. We love this Tacoma Dome Umbrella print that we featured on our Instagram page a while back.

Know any folks that are into College Sports? Consider this Tac 253 Hoodie which is an interesting take on the Pac-12 logo. While you are at it check out this Straight Outta Tacoma Snapback that would make a great gift for any NWA fans on your shopping list.

4) The Pacific Northwest Shop in Proctor

The Pacific Northwest Shop features all things PNW! Gift boxes, clothing, books, speciality foods, Maps and much more. You can find them at  2702 North Proctor Street in Tacoma. Check out this Cascadia Flag T-Shirt

5) Etcetera

Etcetera in Downtown Tacoma features urban styling in men’s and women’s apparel. Check out their lookbook for this season Much of their merchandise has Tacoma flavor, like this Tacoma Dome Brimmed Hat  or this B&I T-Shirt featuring the arcade entrance of that Tacoma Landmark. 6) Harmon Brewing Co.

Founded in Tacoma in 1997, Harmon Brewing Co. is a great spot to grab food and brew while out shopping. It also offers beer to go kegs, Growlers or 22 oz bottles. Some of the Tacoma inspired labels include Mt. Takhoma Blonde, Puget Sound Porter and Pt. Defiance IPA. Click here to check out more of their seasonal and year round brews.
